3rd molar extraction and minor surgeries

A wisdom tooth or third molar is one of the three molars per quadrant of the human dentition. It is the most distal of the three. Wisdom teeth generally erupt between the ages of 17 and 25. Wisdom teeth commonly affect other teeth as they develop, becoming impacted or erupt on check side or on tongue side or some time they even not visible in oral cavity as they get embedded under the gums in bone. They causes pain, swelling, bad breath, pus or may affect the adjacent teeth. The antibiotics and analgesics may cause the temporary relief, but it’s not completely cured.

Hence the removal of the wisdom teeth is the best treatment option in such cases. Generally, most of the wisdom teeth are impacted (embedded fully or partially within the bone) and require a surgical extraction. All surgical extractions at braces and smile clinic are performed by our experienced oral and maxilla-facial surgeons under strict standards of hygiene and sterilization. At braces and smile, the minor surgeries such as frenectomy, gingivectomy, operculoctomy is performed by expert oral and maxilla-facial surgeon.
